Beautiful chalk drawings at Marian Goodman Gallery. These drawings were originally installed in a building starting from an upper floor and lower floor. The sequence follows the glacial peaks of the Hindu Kush down to the Kabul river that swells and floods with the melting snows. Downward gravity of the installation from one floor to another and the narrative of the flow must have worked nicely. In the gallery they are installed north to south which probably doesn’t have the same effect. But they are impressive just the same.
