Yesterday morning’s fog in NY Harbor from Brooklyn Bridge Park.
In August 1776 General George Washington successfully evacuated all of his troops from the hills of Brooklyn Heights across the water to the island of Manhattan. This was done under the noses of of the British ships in the harbor. The fog was so thick he was able to conceal his retreat which was carried out in row boats and oars covered in cloth.
