I am thinking of adding detritus of beloved beach life into the installation on Governors Island in September (the Future Belongs to Us (scenes from the jellyfish apocalypse). Just casting around the house for a minute or two it’s not hard to find beach stuff and/or stuff that is contributing to the massive swirl of garbage churning in the Saragasso Sea.
The detritus, if added to the installation, will be coated in a jelly substance as will some of the camera parts.
